Drama Officers 2018-2019
Abby Agan - President
Abby Agan is a senior this year, and is honored to be the president of Providence's Thespian Troupe. She hopes that this will be a season of growth for the program and is excited to bring God glory through the wonderful talents He's given so many people. Abby has been a Thespian Officer since her sophomore year and has been privileged to see the program grow under the guidance of Eric and Anna Bragg.
Abby discovered her love for performing at six years old when she first began taking ballet classes and has enjoyed many opportunities to dance and act since then. She danced pre-professional classical ballet in St. Louis, Missouri for eight years, and was involved in full-length productions such as "The Sleeping Beauty," "A Midsummer Night's Dream," "Giselle," "Coppelia," "The Nutcracker," and many more. After moving to Atlanta and starting high school at Providence, she quickly found the drama program. Abby has been involved in almost every production since freshman year. Favorite roles include Truvy in "Steel Magnolias," and Miss Lark/Ensemble in "Mary Poppins," both of which were in the 2016-2017 season. Abby does not plan to pursue either acting or dancing past high school but hopes to end up back onstage at some point in the future.
Abby is also honored to serve on Providence's Student Council as Student Body President and is active in her church's youth group. Though she's unsure what will come next after high school, she loves writing, French, and every kind of storytelling. She hopes to use those passions later on in life. Abby is thankful for everything the Lord has done in her life throughout high school and is excited to see where He will lead her in the years to come.
